All applicants must have completed a general surgery residency program by the time your
fellowship begins. Currently, we are only accepting applications for the July 2008 match, which is to fill positions matriculating July of 2009. All application materials should be submitted directly to the UCSF Abdominal
Transplant Fellowship Program. Fellows will be selected through the Abdominal Transplant
Surgery Fellowship Match that is operated by the National Resident Matching Program
www.nrmp.org.
The following documents must be submitted:
- A Curriculum Vitae
- A Personal Statement (maximum of two pages).

- A minimum of two and a maximum of four Letters of Recommendation.

Additional requirements for foreign medical graduates:
- Must have graduated from an ACGME or Canadian medical school
- Must have successfully completed Parts 1, 2, and 3 of the USMLE
- Must have completed (or anticipated completion) of ACGME US or Canada General
Surgery Residency Training Program
